Procedure to Create Website Homepage Icon

If you have a mobile device like an iPhone, the easiest way to access our website is to have an icon on your homepage. Here is a procedure for pinning a website to your phone so you don’t have to type it every time – works just like a regular app!

This can be accomplished in one of the following ways.

Scan this QR code to automatically install the homepage icon.

If you use Safari as your internet browser:

1. Open **Safari** (the blue compass app) on your iPhone.
2. Go to etccwebsite.com
3. When the website is open, look at the bottom of the screen and tap the **square with the arrow pointing up**. It’s the Share button.
4. Scroll down a little in the menu that pops up.
5. Tap **“Add to Home Screen”**.
6. It will show the name of the website and a little icon preview. You can change the name if you want.
7. Tap **Add** in the top-right corner.
8. Done!

Now go to your home screen – you’ll see the website icon just like an app. Tap it anytime and the website opens instantly.

Instructions for an Android phone.

If you use Chrome as your internet browser:

1. Open the **Chrome** app (the red/yellow/green/blue center circle icon).

2. Go to etccwebsite.com

3. When the website is fully loaded, tap the **three vertical dots** ,(), at the top-right of the screen. (This is the "More" button.)

4. In the menu that pops up, scroll to **"Add to Home Screen"** and tap it.

5. In the pop-up, you will see a little preview icon, the website name and the words "Cancel" and "Install". You can change the name if you want. To put the link on your Home screen, tap "Install".

6. Done! Go back to your home screen and you will see the new icon, just like any other app. (You may have to scroll your Home screen to find the icon.)
